About Us
Hi, my name is Kim Snodgrass, and together with my daughter Carly, we own and operate
Snodgrass Eyecare. The original Snodgrass Opticians was started in 1948 in Akron, Ohio, by
my father Don Snodgrass and my Uncle Max Snodgrass.
In 1988 after both my father and uncle had passed away, my mother and I decided to split from
the original Snodgrass Opticians, and we started Snodgrass Eyecare.
Keeping with the original values started by my father and uncle, we are a family centered
business.
We have glasses for all ages, price ranges, and styles, including children. We also have a
special children’s play area for young ones to enjoy.
In addition, we sponsor an annual golf outing to honor a good friend and a respected member of
the optical community, for which all proceeds go to “The Blinded Veteran’s Association.” To date
we have raised and donated over $46,000.
Come visit us and enjoy our family atmosphere, including our annual Christmas party every
December, when we have an open house with food & drinks, a drawing for a pair of glasses,
and spend some time with Santa Clause.
